Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Cast to TV app ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. See also our Privacy Policy.

2. What the app does

Cast to TV mirrors your Android phone's screen and sound, and can cast photos, videos and music, to a TV or other device that is compatible with Google Cast and is on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. The app does not work without such a device and network. Results vary by phone, TV and network, and we do not promise that it works with every device.

Protected content (DRM) is not bypassed. Some apps will show a black screen while mirroring.

3. Your account and eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country if higher, to use the app.
• After your first cast, the app asks you to sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for your Google account and for activity on your phone.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Help & settings > Account > Delete account) or through our account deletion page.

4. Free use and Pro

• The free version includes all features with no time limit and shows ads (see our Privacy Policy, section 5A).
• Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play that removes ads permanently. It is not a subscription. Pro belongs to the Google Play account that bought it.
• Payments, prices, taxes and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google Play's terms and refund policy. We do not receive your payment details.
• We may change the free limit, the price or the features in future versions. A change does not affect a Pro purchase you have already made for the features it unlocked.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app to show, copy, record or distribute content you do not have the right to show, or in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the service you are showing;
• use the app to capture other people's screens, devices or networks without their permission, or to spy on anyone;
• try to bypass content protection (DRM), ads or the Pro purchase check;
• reverse engineer, tamper with, or interfere with the app, our accounts or backend services, except where the law allows;
• use the app to harass others or to show unlawful content.

6. Content you show

The screen, photos, videos and music you mirror or cast are yours or belong to others. You are solely responsible for that content and for having the right to show it. We do not receive, store or review that content: it goes from your phone to your TV over your own network.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design and its name belong to the developer, who grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on your devices under these terms. Google, Google Cast, Chromecast, Firebase and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Cast to TV is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

8. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with every TV, phone or network. Some places do not allow some exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profit or content, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes and ending

• We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
• You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the app. If we end the whole service, we will try to give notice in the app or on this site.

11. Privacy

How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the courts of the Republic of Korea can hear disputes, except where mandatory consumer law of your country says otherwise.
